Goliath beetle on a granite base made of brass and surface treated.
Its members are considered to be some of the largest beetles on Earth, judging by size, bulk and weight. Adult goliath beetles measure from 50 to 110 mm.
The beetle is so armored that when it flies, it resembles a small helicopter in its flight and the sound that accompanies it. Females range in color from dark brown to silky white, but males are usually brown-white-black or black-white.
